The Mount St. Joseph boys and Century girls track and field teams each took home first-place trophies in the Falcon Invitational at Winters Mill in Westminster yesterday.

The No. 2 Gaels, who collected their eighth consecutive Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association indoor title this past winter, won the boys title in the 14-team field by 65 points.

The Knights, who claimed the Carroll County championship last spring, were nearly as overwhelming, winning by 35 1/2 points.

Drew Graybeal of Glenelg was the only male athlete to win two individual events. The senior scored in the 400 (50 seconds) and the 800 (2:02.2) to get his final high school campaign off to a good start.

Century got a major boost in its hopes for this spring by compiling 145 1/2 points. Senior Stephanie Dickerson posted victories in the 100 (12.5) and the 200 (25.9), teamed with junior Teresa Yannone and sophomores Christina Mougey and Jamie Shinault to take the 400 relay (53.3) and joined Yannone, Mougey and freshman Brittany Lewis to win the 800 relay (1:53.7).

Towson Catholic freshman Devon Williams was first in the 400 (59.5 seconds) and ran a leg on the Owls' winning 1,600 relay team (4:22.5).
