Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Shooting: A 24-year-old man was standing in the 1500 block of Rutland Ave. about 12:30 a.m. Saturday when a gunman shot him in the leg. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made, and police knew of no motive.

Northwestern District

Shooting/arrest: Jermaine Daniels, 31, of the 3300 block of St. Ambrose Ave. was walking with a female friend in the 3800 block of Penhurst Ave. about 5:30 a.m. Saturday when a man stepped from a white Honda and shot him in the left leg. Daniels and the woman ran to his aunt's home, where an occupant called 911. While Daniels was being treated at Sinai Hospital, police learned he was wanted on a warrant charging him with a drug violation and arrested him.

Western District

Burglary: Someone broke into a house for sale in the 2200 block of Lynnbrook Ave. between March 13 and Saturday and stole a 23-inch television, two fireplace mantels and a mattress - all valued at $600.

Southern District

Robbery/arrest: A man was walking in the 1000 block of Stoll St. about 12:15 a.m. Saturday when another man robbed him at gunpoint of his cell phone, $20 and a coat. Later, a man called the victim's home on a cell phone that police traced to a house in the 5300 block of Third St. in Brooklyn. Police went there and arrested Joel Norfleet, 27, of that address, and charged him with armed robbery. The victim's property was recovered.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Carjacking/arrest: An employee was about to drive away from Milano's Restaurant on Waltham Woods Road about 11:50 p.m. Friday when a former male employee requested a ride home. When the driver declined, the other man demanded his money, pulled out a knife, forced the driver out and then fled in his 1988 Toyota Camry. Several minutes later, the car was found abandoned on South Marlyn Avenue in Essex. Nearby, police arrested Azon Aragon, 22, of the Essexshire Gate Apartments in the 900 block of Ashbridge Drive and charged him with armed carjacking.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: A combination DVD player/video recorder, several DVDs and a stereo system were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 700 block of Dorsey Ave.
