On March 23, 2004, MRS. GENEVIEVE C., beloved mother of James C. Roy Jr., grandmother of Donna Queen, Tyra Malone, Dione Wyatt and Kristie Roy, sister of Leona Abrams, Richard Carter and Rowena Wingfield. She is also survived by an aunt Edith Toney, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Phillips Funeral Home, 1721 N. Monroe Street on Sunday from 10 A. M to 6 P.M, beginning at 9 A. M Monday, Mrs. Roy will lie in state at the St. James Episcopal Church, Lafayette and Arlington Avenues, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 A.M. with funeral service to begin at 11 A.M.
