Blast tonight

March 27, 2004|By Sandra McKee

Matchup: Blast (23-10) vs. Philadelphia KiXX (19-13)

Site: Wachovia Spectrum, Philadelphia

Time: 7:05

Radio: WCBM (680 AM)

Outlook: The second-place KiXX are 3 1/2 games behind the Blast, and a Blast victory tonight would wrap up the Eastern Division title. The KiXX hold a 3-2 edge in the season series. At times, the scores have been lopsided and, at other times, close, as in the Blast's 10-9 win on March 5. The Blast comes into tonight's game off a loss in Monterrey, Mexico, on Sunday. The team has lost consecutive games only once this season. The Blast reports no injuries. Philadelphia's big, strong defender, Shawn Boney (foot), is out.
