HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

East Columbia

Carved Stone Lane: 7100 block, Owen Brown. A group of men robbed a man as he approached the doors of a bowling alley about 8:30 p.m. March 13. The men punched and kicked the man several times. His cell phone and sneakers were stolen.

Cliffside Trails: 6100 block, Long Reach. Someone broke a rear window and entered a home the evening of March 12. Jewelry and computer equipment were stolen.

Dobbin Road: 6400 block, Owen Brown. Someone entered Rocky Run restaurant through the ceiling and stole an unspecified amount of cash early March 15.

Golden Coin Court: 6200 block, Owen Brown. Someone entered a home and stole firearms, cash, jewelry and collectibles between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. March 15.

Columbia Gateway Drive: 7100 block, Gateway Commerce. Someone entered a business and stole computers and power cords March 14 or 15.

Dobbin Road: 6400 block, Owen Brown. A man leaving a store in a shopping center was approached by a man who grabbed his arm and demanded money about 2 p.m. March 18. The man took money from the victim's front pocket, hit him in the face and fled on foot behind the shopping center.

West Columbia

Wild Ginger Court: 6000 block, Hickory Ridge. Someone entered a home through a window and stole watches between 5:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. March 12.

Green Meadow Drive: 12200 block, Hickory Ridge. Someone entered a home and stole a safe containing an unspecified amount of cash between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. March 12.

Sterrett Place: 5500 block, Town Center. Someone entered a business by unknown means and stole two laptop computers March 12 or 13.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Oak Green Ring Circle: 3000 block, Ellicott City. Two men snatched a woman's purse as she was getting out of her car and fled, tossing away the purse about 10 p.m. March 12. Police stopped and arrested two people, one of whom was a juvenile.

Brian Court: 2800 block, Ellicott City. Someone entered a detached garage and stole tools and power equipment between Feb. 22 and March 13.

Worthington Way: 4900 block, Ellicott City. Someone entered a home as a resident slept and stole a purse from the kitchen late March 16 or early March 17.

Washington Blvd.: 6600 block, Elkridge. Someone entered a residence through a rear sliding-glass door and stole a video game system about 4 p.m. March 17. Police made an arrest.

Western Howard

Birmingham Way: 10700 block, Woodstock. Someone cut a hole in the ceiling and entered Mangia restaurant and stole an unspecified amount of cash early March 14.
