Burrier, Ruth Pearce

RUTH PEARCE BURRIER, 92, of Dallastown, PA, and formerly of Baltimore, died Monday morning, March 22, 2004, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Marshall A. Burrier. Mrs. Burrier was born April 13, 1911 in Baltimore, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Frederica (Holmes) Pearce. She was a life long member of Hampden United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Starr in Baltimore for more than 50 years. She was employed by the State of Maryland for many years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Burrier was the choir director for the student nurses choir at Lutheran Hospital in Baltimore and was the choir director at Sudbrook United Methodist Church in Baltimore. Mrs. Burrier is survived by two daughters, Ellen Gladfelter of Dallastown and Dorothy Jones of Marriottsville, MD; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be 11 A.M. Friday, March 26, 2004, at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church, 961 Johnsville Rd., Eldersburg, MD, with the Rev. Richard Mc Cullough officiating. Burial will be private.
