Lewis is Love & Co. chief of research, marketing

Love & Co. appointed Karen Lewis as director of research and marketing. She is responsible for marketing research and new business development at the Frederick-based advertising, marketing and research firm. Formerly chief marketing officer for Farmers & Mechanics Bank, she holds an M.A. and M.B.A. from Columbia University. A Frederick resident, Lewis is active in the Mental Health Association, United Way and the Weinberg Center for the Arts.

Feszchur joins GKV; Harris promoted to VP

GKV Communications promoted Janel Harris to vice president, account supervisor, and named Darrian Feszchur a senior account executive for the Locust Point-headquartered advertising and direct marketing agency.

Harris, a graduate of the University of Delaware, is responsible for planning and implementation of advertising for several clients in the medical and biotechnology industries. Formerly with New Jersey-based GWP, the Severna Park resident is active with the Advertising Association of Baltimore.

Feszchur, previously with the Campbell Group, handles the agency's Independence Air account and assists in budgeting, billing and coordination of media value-added programs. A graduate of Loyola College, she lives in Hampden.

Legal and Insurance

Benoit, Gordon join Ballard as associates

Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll admitted G. James Benoit Jr. and Marci I. Gordon to the Baltimore offices of the regional law firm as associates.

Benoit, assigned to the firm's business and finance department, is a member of the securities group. A former U.S. Army officer, he is a law graduate of University of Baltimore, where he was staff editor of the law review.

Gordon graduated from New York University law school, where she was a teaching assistant and member of the Moot Court Board. She is in the real estate department.

Dorsey is deputy counsel for Md. insurance agency

J. Van Lear Dorsey was appointed deputy counsel to the Maryland Insurance Administration. He formerly was senior counsel for the Maryland Department of the Environment. A Towson resident, the College of William & Mary law graduate is active in several state and federal bar associations.

Health Care

Crocker associate director of Riderwood center

Riderwood, an Erickson community, named Donna Crocker associate executive director. Before joining the Silver Spring senior and retirement facility as director of diversity and communications, she was deputy chief administrative officer for the Prince George's County health and human services office.
