* Durable goods orders for February. The report measures the dollar volume of orders, shipments and unfilled orders of goods whose intended life span is three years or more. It is considered a leading indicator of manufacturing activity.

* New-home sales report indicates the level of new, privately owned one-family houses sold and for sale.

Thursday

* Final report on gross domestic product for the fourth quarter. This is the broadest measure of economic activity.

* Existing-home sales for February.

* Personal income and personal spending for February. January personal income rose 0.2 percent, spending 0.4 percent, savings rate 1.8 percent.

* Final University of Michigan consumer sentiment index for March. Preliminary March consumer sentiment was 94.1, a drop of 0.3 point.
