Hall of Shame movie

The Sidebar holds another Backseat Film Festival tonight. John Travolta's 2000 film Battlefield Earth will be shown - and then inducted into the BFF's "hall of shame" during this free event. The screening is scheduled to begin around 9 p.m.

Rock at Recher

Saves the Day rocks Wednesday at the Recher.

The emo-rock heroes will share the spotlight with California slacker-rock act Grandaddy.

The Fire Theft and Hey Mercedes are also billed. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Cat's Eye zydeco

The Crawdaddies will jam out, zydeco style, Saturday at the Cat's Eye Pub in Fells Point.

The Baltimore-based act will perform a mix of funk, rock and the Louisiana swamp music after P.J. Ellis & the Witch Doctors rock the bar with an early evening set.

There is a cover charge of $1 for this event.
