Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Assault/arrest: A woman, 49, was driving in the 2100 block of Hawkins Point Road about 2 a.m. Sunday when her husband, who was sitting next to her, struck her in the face several times during an argument. Police said that in order to summon an officer, the woman deliberately collided with another car, whose driver called police. No one was injured in the collision. Arrested and charged with domestic assault and held at Central Booking and Intake Center was David W. Holmes, 45, of the 8000 block of Abbey Court in Pasadena, Anne Arundel County. The woman was not seriously injured.

Burglary: A 32-inch screen television, DVD player and 15 compact discs -- valued at nearly $1,300 in all -- were stolen Sunday from an apartment in the 3800 block of West Bay Ave. in Brooklyn.

Southwestern District

Arrest: George McClelland, 28, of the 3600 block of Hineline Road was arrested yesterday at his home by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with the armed robbery Feb. 4 of McDonald's in the 3600 block of Wilkens Ave. During the robbery, the manager was forced at knifepoint to remove more than $700 from a safe.

Northern District

Arrest: Thomas E. Washington, 37, of the 4200 block of Berger Ave. was arrested by district police at his home over the weekend on a warrant charging him with the armed robbery of Royal Farms in the 200 block of W. Cold Spring Lane on March 2. Police said Washington is suspected of robbing several other convenience stores.

Central District

Arrest: When firefighters arrived at Westminster House, a high-rise apartment building in the 500 block of N. Charles St., in response to a 911 call about 5:42 p.m. yesterday, they heard what sounded like gunshots and called police. Officers traced the sound to a ninth-floor apartment and arrested the male occupant who was firing a BB rifle at an adjoining building. The man's identity and charges were not available.

Theft: Someone broke into a 1992 Honda Accord parked in the 100 block of S. Eutaw St. Sunday and stole a suitcase containing several pieces of diamond and gold jewelry, shoes and clothing -- all valued at nearly $4,600.

Robbery try: A woman, 57, was handing out Bolton Hill community fliers in the 200 block of W. Lanvale St. about 4 p.m. Sunday when two gunmen demanded her money. The men walked away when the woman turned her pants pockets inside out, revealing no money.

Southeastern District

Shooting: A young male was in the 200 block of Herring Court about 9:45 p.m. Sunday when an unknown assailant shot him in the head. The victim, whose name was not disclosed, was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was expected to survive.

Northwestern District

Assault: A man, 24, was standing at a bus stop in the 4500 block of W. Rogers Ave. about 12:30 a.m. Sunday when another man struck him in the face with an empty beer bottle. No arrest was made.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Theft: Power and hand tools valued at $1,348 were stolen over the weekend from a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck parked in the 600 block of Meadow Road.

Stolen vehicle: A green 1993 Dodge van with tags 35073M was stolen Sunday in the 8600 block of Belair Road.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Twenty DVDs, cash and liquor were stolen Sunday from an apartment in the 6900 block of Brookmill Road.
