Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shooting: A man, 39, was standing in the 600 block of Whitmore Ave. about 2 p.m. yesterday when another man shot him in the back. The victim, whose name was not released, drove himself to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was treated for a non-life threatening wound. No arrest has been made.

Stolen vehicle: A green 2003 Chrysler Sebring with unknown temporary tags was stolen Saturday in the 1900 block of W. Saratoga St.

Assasult: Police were seeking at least 10 young females who attacked a girl, 12, Friday afternoon near her home in the 1300 block of N. Gilmor St. as she walked home from school. The girl suffered bruises after being kicked and stomped. Police had no motive for the attack.

Southeastern District

Shooting/arrest: Ricky Gordon, 25, of the 2300 block of Jefferson St. and another man were arguing near Gordon's home about 3 a.m. Saturday when the other man pulled a handgun and shot Gordon in the upper left leg. Gordon was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released. Arrested at the scene by Officer Donna Jackson and charged with first-degree asssult and a handgun violation was Ralph Pritchett, 21, of the 2300 block of Orleans St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 200 block of N. Kenwood Ave. through the front door Saturday and stole video games and a videocassette recorder - all valued at nearly $500.

Stolen vehicle: A bronze-colored 2000 Dodge Dakota sport utility vehicle with tags 71H 171 was stolen over the weekend in the 700 block of S. Milton Ave.

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1993 Ford Escort with tags LHL 959 was stolen Saturday in the 1700 block of Nome St.

Eastern District

Theft from vehicle: Police were seeking three men who exited a car in the 900 block of Greenmount Ave. Saturday night, opened the trunk of a parked 1997 Honda and removed a purse containing $303.

Stolen vehicle: A gold-colored 2001 Mazda 626 with tags HLZ 555 was stolen over the weekend in the 1700 block of Darley Ave.

Southern District

Arson: Someone set fire Friday night to a 1990 Dodge Caravan parked in the 1600 block of S. Monroe St., causing about $1,000 damage to the vehicle. Police said the van was reported stolen Jan. 13 and that its tags had been removed.

Theft from vehicle: A digital computer, a 35 mm camera and a tripod - all valued at $2,520 - were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 600 block of W. Lombard St.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Carjacking: A man was seated in his 1997 Ford Contour in the 1600 block of Eastern Blvd. about 10 p.m. Friday when two men forced their way into the vehicle and ordered him to drive. After stopping in the Middlesex area, the men forced the driver out and drove away. The car, with tags AWR 728, and the men were being sought.

Franklin Precinct

Robbery/arrest: A boy, 16, was arrested Saturday and charged as a juvenile with robbing four boys of their property at shotgun point at Hammershire and High Falcon roads about 7:30 p.m. Friday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking three teen-age males who broke into a house in the 100 block of Greenwood Ave. sometime between March 10 and yesterday. The thieves broke a window and stole a collectible Baltimore Orioles bear and three baseball caps worth a total of $200.
