Ellen Patricia McLee, 46, clerk for state agency

Ellen Patricia McLee, a clerk who worked for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, died March 6 of a cerebral cyst at St. Agnes HealthCare. She was 46 and lived in Catonsville.

She was born Ellen Patricia Bunn in Baltimore and raised in Harlem Park. She was a 1975 graduate of Carver Vocational Technical High School and attended the Community College of Baltimore.

She began working for the state Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and at her death was a fiscal clerk assigned to the agency's Spring Grove Hospital Center in Catonsville.

Mrs. McLee was a longtime member of Bethel Temple Church of Christ, where she was a member of the Courtesy Committee. A soprano, she sang with the church's Robert Evans Ensemble.

In 2002, she married Ventura McLee, who survives her.

She enjoyed traveling and attending the theater in Baltimore and Washington. She was also an avid reader.

Services were held yesterday.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. McLee is survived by three sons, Deoleous A. Bridges, Vance C. Queen and Jeffrey Hardy Jr., all of Baltimore; a daughter, Brittany Hardy of Catonsville; her mother, Betty Harper of Baltimore; three brothers, Otis Harper of Roselle, N.J., Nathan Harper of Irvington, N.J., and Cleveland Bunn of Baltimore; nine sisters, Theresa Winston of Jersey City, N.J., Elnora Kanich of Queens, N.Y., Genevieve Levine, Wilhelmina Willson and Helen Flanagan, all of Baltimore, Emma Price of District Heights, Kim High of Reisterstown, and Dorothy Benton and Sherbedine Bunn, both of Selma, N.C.; a stepson, Ventura Derek McLee of Jacksonville, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Amber C. McLee of Baltimore; and three stepgrandchildren.
