Salisbury storms past Marymount, 24-3

The Salisbury men's lacrosse team, ranked No. 1 in this week's USILA Division III Top 20 poll, scored 22 straight goals to start off its 24-3 thumping of visiting Marymount yesterday.

Fourteen different players scored for the Sea Gulls (5-0, 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference). Marymount fell to 0-4, 0-1.

Salisbury's Corey O'Neil led all scorers with five goals, including two during a 9-0 run in the first quarter. Joe Tamberrino had six assists.

Goucher 20, York 4: Pat Tracy scored nine goals to help the visiting Gophers (2-2, 1-1 CAC) rout the Spartans (1-2, 0-1).

Washington College 10, Ohio Wesleyan 6: The host and fourth-ranked Shoremen (4-0) rode their special teams to a win over the Battling Bishops (2-2), converting three of six extra-man opportunities while stopping all six of Ohio Wesleyan's.

Lynchburg 20, St. Mary's 11: Billy McCulloch had six goals and one assist to lead the visiting Hornets (2-1) past the Seahawks (1-3).

Dave Mueller's four goals paced St. Mary's.

Delaware 14, Mount St. Mary's 3: Five players scored for the host Blue Hens (4-1) during a 6-1 first quarter that buried the Mountaineers (0-2).

National men

No. 4 Rutgers 10, Saint Joseph's 3: Delby Powless scored three goals and Josh Ashcraft added two as the visiting Scarlet Knights (3-0) downed the Hawks (1-4).
