Already selected as a McDonald's All-American, Archbishop Spalding star senior Rudy Gay was chosen yesterday to play in the 31st annual Jordan Capital Classic high school all-star game on April 17 at Comcast Center.

Former Towson Catholic and current Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony, a 2002 Jordan Capital Classic alumnus, announced the rosters yesterday at ESPN Zone in Washington. Gay, who is headed to the University of Connecticut, will play in the national all-star game at 7:30 p.m. That game follows the regional game, which starts at 5:30 p.m.

Among Gay's teammates are Sebastian Telfair, a guard from Lincoln High in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Josh Smith, a forward from Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va.

University of Maryland recruit James Gist, from Good Counsel in Wheaton, will play in the regional game.

Tickets for the Capital Classic are on sale through Ticketmaster by calling 410-481-SEAT, or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Prices are $30 and $17.50 for both games, with $10 tickets for students with valid high school or college IDs. The national game also will be on ESPN2.
