Sales trainer slated to speak at meeting of chamber March 19

The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce will hold a general membership luncheon beginning at 11:30 a.m. March 19 at the Holiday Inn at 6323 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.

Dean Craft of the Brian Tracey Team will be the guest speaker. Craft is a leading national sales trainer who helps business people achieve their visions and goals, professionally and personally. He has been the keynote speaker for many Fortune 500 companies.

Participants will receive a hot buffet lunch and have the opportunity to network with business leaders in northern Anne Arundel County. The fee is $15 for NAACCC members and $20 for nonmembers. Information: 410-766-8282.

Partners in Care to hold semiannual wedding sale

Partners in Care will sponsor its semiannual wedding gown sale from noon to 4 p.m. March 28 at the Crofton Upscale Resale Boutique in the Route 3 Shopping Center, immediately across from the main entrance to Crofton.

More than 50 new, sample and gently used gowns will be for sale. Prices will range from $49 to $299 for this day only. There will also be a large selection of bridesmaids' dresses, mother-of-the-bride dresses, veils and selected jewelry and accessories available.

Suzanne Reams of Suzanne's Needle Heartwork, a specialist in wedding and other formalwear will be available for free consultation.

Partners in Care is a service exchange program designed to create community by linking elderly and disabled adults with neighbors who volunteer to help with occasional tasks and errands. Information: 410-721-3600 or 410-544-0568.

St. Mary's vice president selected for program

Marc L. Apter of Annapolis, associate vice president of marketing and public relations at St. Mary's College of Maryland, has been selected for this year's Leadership Maryland Class.

Leadership Maryland is an independent educational, nonprofit organization designed to inform top-level executives from the public and private sectors about the critical issues, challenges and opportunities facing Maryland. Apter is one of 52 accomplished and talented statewide leaders selected to participate in the eight-month program.
