One dead, two wounded at party at Crofton home

Anne Arundel County police said yesterday that they were still investigating a shooting at a Crofton party Saturday night that left one man dead and two others injured.

Investigators believe about 15 people were at a party at a home in the 2000 block of Lake Grove Lane when Andre Summers, 31, of the 3500 block of Emperor Court in Bowie was killed.

Two others also were shot during the altercation, about 10 p.m. outside the house, police said.

Police would not release further details, saying the investigation was continuing, but neighbors have identified the two other victims as Michele Summers and Wayne Falduti.

Michele Summers, 27, is Andre Summers' sister and is the owner of the two-story house where the party was held, according to neighbors. She was treated for a gunshot wound to the left hip at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was released over the weekend, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Falduti, 28, also lives on Lake Grove Lane and was treated for a gunshot wound to the right leg at the trauma center. He was released over the weekend, the hospital spokeswoman said.

This is the fourth homicide in the county this year and the only other unsolved one. Last month, Carlus Linell Johnson, 26, of Severn was found shot to death in the middle of Crain Highway. Police have not identified suspects in that homicide.

Anyone with information about either case is asked to call the homicide unit at 410-222-3456.
