New Positions

Geen, Lordan, Thor elected Rouse VPs

The Rouse Co. has elected Jeffery S. Geen, Timothy J. Lordan and Gregory J. Thor vice presidents.

Geen, 47, is development director of the West Coast community development office in Summerlin, Nev. He formerly was Howard Hughes Corp. associate general counsel. A law graduate of the University of Michigan, he is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Lordan, 36, is director of investor relations. He joined the Columbia-based firm in 1999 as assistant director of investor relations and senior financial analyst. A Columbia resident, he graduated from Mount St. Mary's College and is active in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Thor, 40, is associate division controller, financial accounting and reporting. He joined the company in 1988 as assistant group controller. Formerly with American Bank Stationery, the Marriottsville resident is a graduate of Loyola College. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Real Estate Companies.

Banking and Finance

Provident appoints Oliver, Diamond vice presidents

Provident Bank appointed Margaret C. Diamond vice president, real estate lending, and George F. Oliver vice president, commercial real estate lending.

Diamond supervises the division's commercial and residential loan administrators. A University of Maryland, College Park graduate, the Pasadena resident was formerly with Bank of America.

Oliver, formerly with M&T Bank, manages the commercial lending division. A resident of Aberdeen, he earned his M.B.A. at Loyola College.

M.R. Beal names Riddick head of Baltimore office

M.R. Beal & Co., a New York-based investment bank, selected Katrina Riddick to head its newly opened Baltimore Inner Harbor office. Formerly a vice president with Legg Mason and Jackson Securities, the Baltimore resident holds law and master's degrees from Tulane University.

Blank elected partner at McGuireWoods

McGuireWoods LLP elected Jonathan T. Blank as a partner in the international law firm's Baltimore office, in the commercial litigation group. He joined the firm in 1995 as an associate upon graduation from the University of Virginia law school. A member of the Maryland, Washington and Virginia bars, he is also active in the University of Virginia Alumni Association.

Naden/Lean promotes King, Norris to partners

Naden/Lean LLC named Mark D. King and Mark W. Norris partners in the Timonium-based accounting and consulting services firm.

King, a Towson University graduate, provides accounting, audit and tax services to clients in the insurance, nonprofit and horse breeding industries. He is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Horse Breeders Association.

Norris is director of litigation support services for the firm and is a certified valuation analyst and certified public accountant.
