HCC Professor Bell publishing latest editions of 2 books

James Bell, professor of psychology at Howard Community College, will publish the eighth edition of his reader, Ideas and Issues in Psychology, and the fourth edition of his text, Evaluating Psychological Information: Sharpening Your Critical Thinking Skills.

Bell, who coordinates the psychology program at Howard Community College, joined the faculty in 1971.

Craig Ward selected for Leadership Maryland

Craig A. Ward, president of Frederick Ward Associates Inc. - an architectural, engineering, planning and surveying firm with offices in Columbia and Bel Air, and in Warrenton, Va. - has been selected for the Leadership Maryland Class of 2004.

The eight-month program trains executives from the public and private sectors to identify and address critical challenges and opportunities facing the state and its regions.

Melinda Boswell attends estate planning conference

Melinda Boswell, a manager with Peacock, Condron, Anderson & Co. P.A., the accounting and auditing division of PCA Group, attended the Advance Estate Planning Conference held by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

PCA Group is a regional accounting and consulting firm that provides tax, financial and insurance services to businesses, trade associations and nonprofit organizations.

The conference focused on the impact of changing tax laws on estate and gift planning.
