February 28, 2004

A 16-year-old Baltimore boy was indicted this week in two fatal shootings. One victim was 16 and the other was 39, the Baltimore state's attorney's office said.

Asmar Rashad Holland of the 700 block of Bartlett St. was indicted Thursday on two counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors said they knew of no motive.

Joseph Harris, 16, was killed May 18, 2002, and Earl Ross, 39, was killed at his home in the 600 block of Bartlett St. on Dec. 1 last year.

Holland is being held at the city Detention Center without bail. His arraignment is set for April 15.
