February 24, 2004|By Rick Belz

Paul Marshall is the new boys varsity lacrosse coach at Oakland Mills, interim athletic director Carol Satterwhite said yesterday.

Marshall coached the JV for five seasons and was a varsity assistant for one season under former Glenelg coach Rick Kincaid.

"He was an excellent coach," said Kincaid.

Marshall, who lives in the Glenelg area, played high school lacrosse at Atholton for former Raiders coach Wendell Thomas.

Marshall replaces Ken Hovet, who was the varsity coach for the past 11 seasons at Oakland Mills.
