Annie P. C. Williams, 54, Morgan administrator

Annie Pearl Chapman Williams, a Morgan State University administrator, died of breast cancer Feb. 11 at her White Marsh home. She was 54.

Born Annie Pearl Chapman in Grove Hill, Ala., she earned a bachelor's degree from Alabama State University, and master's degrees from Purdue University and the University of Kentucky.

She taught biology at Morehouse College, Howard University and Prince George's Community College before joining the Morgan faculty in 1999. She was program manager for Morgan's Research Centers for Minority Institutes.

Services were held Monday.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Arthur Lee Williams, chairman of Morgan's biology department; a daughter, Dr. Adrianne Matte Williams of Baltimore; three brothers, Willie J. Chapman, Deloyd Chapman and Alfred Chapman, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; and four sisters, Mildred C. English of Sacramento, Calif., and Hattie C. Howard, Geraldine C. Talley and Kaye C. Johnson, all of Buffalo.
