Business Partnership breakfast Thursday to hear Hellmann

The BWI Business Partnership has rescheduled its January Spirit of Success Breakfast Meeting for Thursday at the BWI Marriott Hotel, 1743 W. Nursery Road in Linthicum.

The meeting is to begin at 7:45 a.m. and features William K. Hellmann, chairman of the Maryland Transportation Task Force.

Reservations are required for the meeting, which is free for partnership members and $40 for nonmembers.

Black History Month event planned Feb. 26 at BWI

The Maryland Aviation Administration will hold a Black History Month event at 10 a.m. Feb. 26 in the observation gallery of Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Featured will be two pilots from Southwest Airlines. The event is free and open to the public, though seating is limited.

Airline and state lottery offering `Big Ben Bucks'

British Airways and the Maryland State Lottery are offering a $5 scratch-off ticket called "Big Ben Bucks."

One hundred winners will receive a pair of first-class, roundtrip tickets from BWI to London and $8,500 cash.

AirTran starts service from BWI to Dayton, Ohio

On Wednesday, AirTran Airways began nonstop service between BWI and Dayton International Airport in Ohio.
