Mt. St. Joe captures MIAA wrestling title

Mount St. Joseph's grueling schedule paid off yesterday, as the host Gaels set tournament records for points and finalists in running away with he Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association wrestling championship.

The Gaels scored 311.5 points, put 11 wrestlers in the finals and had six titlists. They were led by 119-pounder Bruce Dulski, who became the first wrestler in MIAA history to claim four titles.

McDonogh placed second (206 1/2 ) and Boys' Latin, third (160 1/2 ).

John Carroll heavyweight Zac Tschuelin, who pinned his way through the tournament, became the first wrestler from his school to win an MIAA title.
