Ramp from U.S. 50 to Route 2 to close tonight, tomorrow

The ramp from westbound U.S. 50 to southbound Route 2 (Solomons Island Road) is scheduled to be closed tonight and again tomorrow night.

The off-ramp will be shut down from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. both nights while workers install steel girders as part of a $12 million project to improve the interchange.

Messages will be posted to direct drivers to detours, and Maryland State Police will assist with traffic management. The work is subject to change in case of bad weather.
