ST. JOHN'S: Expelled Grady Reynolds from men's basketball team and permanently suspended Elijah Ingram and Abraham Keita, hours after a woman was arrested for allegedly lying to police about being raped by several players the night before. The school annonced that two other players, Lamont Hamilton and Mohammed Diakite, were also suspended, and another player, Tyler Jones, would be disciplined.

TEXAS STATE: Named David Bailiff football coach.

UCLA: Announced resignation of offensive coordinator Steve Axman. Named Tom Cable offensive coordinator.

USC: Sophomore WR Mike Williams said he won't enter NFL draft.

NFL: Rescinded $5,000 fine levied against Bengals QB Jon Kitna for wearing cap with cross during interviews after game in December.

FALCONS: Named Robert Prince offensive assistant coach. Signed LB J.R. Johnson, P Glenn Pakulak and QB Wesley Phillips.

GIANTS: Named John Hufnagel offensive coordinator.

PACKERS: Re-signed WR Frank Rice.

RAIDERS: Named Joe Avezzano special teams coach.
