Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Victim identified: A man whose body was found Jan. 31 on a trail leading to Leakin Park was identified yesterday as Carlos Herrea, 63, of Queens, N.Y. Detective Michael Johnson said Herrea was shot in the head at another location and his body was dumped in the park about an hour before a woman walking her dog discovered it about 10:30 p.m.

Theft from vehicles: Two cars at the Park & Ride lot near Interstate 70 and Security Boulevard were broken into Wednesday. Taken from a 1988 Ford Thunderbird were a stereo amplifier and a combination radio/compact disc player. Taken from a 2001 Ford pickup truck was a CD player and 150 CDs.

Central District

Robbery/shooting: Police were seeking a tall man in a white sweat suit who shot another man in the leg during a robbery about 7:15 p.m. yesterday in the 1300 block of Division St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot in the shoulder about 7:05 last night in the 1400 block of N. Bond St.

Northwestern District

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 4500 block of Pimlico Road between Jan. 29 and yesterday while the occupant was moving and stole a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun with serial number 5D45110.

Southeastern District

Cutting: Police were seeking a man, 24, in the wounding of Richard Walker, 62, during an altercation in the 100 block of N. Decker Ave. Tuesday night. Walker was cut on the left arm with a butcher knife and Treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery: A woman, 45, was walking in the 3800 block of Mount Pleasant Ave. about 12:15 p.m. Wednesday when two teen-age boys, one with an unknown weapon, robbed her of $60.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Jewelry and a .357-caliber Taurus handgun with serial number 44944 - all valued at $900 - were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 100 block of Shrewsbury Court.

Franklin Precinct

Burglary: Tools, fittings, 100 tanks of a refrigerant and cash were stolen from Fred Needel air-conditioning in the 100 block of Westminster Pike between Jan. 21 and Wednesday.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1999 Dodge pickup truck with tags 144627 was stolen Wednesday from the parking lot of Beth Tfiloh Synagogue in the 3300 block of Old Court Road.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: A cordless telephone valued at $90 was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 4400 block of Scotia Road.
