HOWARD CRIME REPORT

The crime report is a sampling of crimes in Howard County compiled from police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-313-3700.

Ellicott City/Elkridge

Manahan Drive: 8700 block, Ellicott City. Officers arrested a suspect after responding to a possible burglary about 11:30 a.m. Jan. 27. Police did not release additional information.

San Tomas Road: 6900 block, Elkridge. Someone entered Structural Preservation Systems by force sometime between Wednesday afternoon and early Thursday and unsuccessfully attempted to steal a large compressor.

N. Laurel/Savage/Jessup

Murray Hill Road: 7600 block, North Laurel. A man entered a High's store early Thursday, approached the counter and demanded cash after displaying a black semiautomatic handgun. The man took an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot.

Fairview Ave.: 9400 block, North Laurel. Someone reported unspecified items missing from a home Thursday about 9 p.m. Police reported no sign of forced entry.

Storch Woods Drive: 8500 block, Savage. Someone entered an apartment through a second-floor balcony sliding door and stole cash and jewelry between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday.
