DAVID S. GROBOSKY, 49, formerly of Abingdon, MD, died at 5:40 PM, Friday, January 30, 2004, at his residence following a struggle with cancer. He was the husband of Deborah L. (Lohss) Grobosky of York. Mr. and Mrs. Grobosky observed their 21st wedding anniversary on November 6, 2003. Mr. Grobosky was born in Louisville, KY, April 5, 1954, the son of Robert E. and Elizabeth (Evans) Grobosky of Magnolia, Delaware. He was a 1972 graduate of Williamsville North High School, Williamsville, NY and a 1976 graduate of the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn. Following his graduation from college, he was briefly a life insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Presently, he was a sales representative for the Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., Baltimore, MD. Before joining Smurfit-Stone, he was a sales representative and sales manager for the Westvaco and Weyerhauser Companies in Baltimore, where he received several top salesman awards. David worked in the packaging industry for 25 years. He was also a member of the Bel Air United Methodist Church, bel Air, MD. Besides his wife, Deobrah, and parents, he is survived by a son Ryan L. Grobosky of York; a brother Paul Grobosky of Denver, CO and two sisters Kay Hanna of Massillon, OH and Jill DeShullo of Kennett Square, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday at the Eastminister Presbyterian Church, 311 Haines Road, York with the Rev. James S. Crawford officiating. Burial will be held in Mount Rose Cemetery. Visitations will be held from 6 to 8 PM. Friday at the Etzewiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market Street, York, and from 10 to 11 AM, Saturday at the Haines House of the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Hospital, 325 S.
