Gunman holds up Shell gas station in Glen Burnie

A Shell gas station in Glen Burnie was robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon, Anne Arundel County police said.

About 4:15 p.m., a man in his late 20s to early 30s displayed a black semiautomatic handgun to a clerk at the gas station in the 500 block of Crain Highway and demanded money, police said.

The clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and the man fled on foot on Fifth Avenue, police said.

No injuries were reported.

Two Odenton robberies are under investigation

County police are investigating two simultaneous robberies at adjoining Odenton businesses Saturday.

Three men, two of whom carried handguns, entered Fort Liquors and Pizza Boli's in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in the early morning, police said.

The men robbed two clerks and one customer of an unknown amount of cash, police said, before they fled on foot.

No one was injured, police said.
