Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Arrest: A man about to attend a probation violation hearing yesterday at the city's Eastern District Court was arrested on warrants charging him with attempted murder in the shootings of two people. Dwan Taylor, 19, of the 1600 block of N. Wolfe St., was charged with shooting Colin Jones, 27, and Reginald White, 18, in the 900 block of Valley St. on Aug. 30.

Western District

Arrest: Barry Hamlett, 27, was arrested Friday near his home in the 1300 block of Mosher St. on warrants charging him with two counts of attempted murder in the shootings of Charles Talbert, 33, and Portia Thompson, 23, on Jan. 18 in the 1300 block of Laurens St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man was driving in the 1200 block of E. Monument St. about 12:20 a.m. yesterday when the driver of another car pulled alongside and shot him in the arm. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southeastern District

Theft: A compact disc player valued at $250 was stolen Sunday from a 1997 Isuzu Trooper in the 6800 block of Eastern Ave.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A 14-year-old boy was walking his dog in the 2100 block of Parksley St. about 1:30 p.m. Sunday when three other males, one with a handgun, robbed him of his cellular phone.

Central District

Carjacking: Michael Hernandez, 41, was stopped in the 1400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. about 5 a.m. Sunday when a gunman forced him from his 2002 Chevrolet Malibu. The gunman abandoned the car after it struck three parked vehicles in the 500 block of Bloom St.

Burglary: A laptop computer and 50 compact discs -- all valued at $1,900 -- were stolen over the weekend from a house in the 2300 block of Eutaw Place.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Three all-terrain vehicles valued at $11,500, and with keys in their ignitions, were stolen from a garage in the 7500 block of Kenlea Ave. over the weekend.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: An employee of Taco Bell in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Blvd. was about to make a night deposit at Nations Bank in the 8100 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 9:25 a.m. Sunday when a man stole the bank bag he was carrying, containing an undisclosed sum.

Franklin Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1996 Buick Century with handicap tags 33469 was stolen Sunday in the 7600 block of Carla Road.
