Scott is vice president at Potomac Valley Brick

Potomac Valley Brick & Supply Co. said Paul M. Scott has joined the Rockville-based masonry supplier as vice president. He oversees the company's sales in the commercial, institutional and residential markets.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Scott formerly was vice president for Hanson Brick of America's Southeast division.

BACVA names Hungate chief operating officer

Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association has named Jeffrey Hungate chief operating officer. He has responsibility for strategic business plan development.

A member of several industry associations, including the American Management Association and the Society of Association Executives, Hungate is a former vice president and chief financial officer of the National Propane Gas Association.

Borda is general manager, vice president at ViPS

ViPS BioMedical Services, a leading provider of business intelligence for the health care and life sciences industries, has appointed Karen Borda vice president and general manager.

She will manage business development and operations of current products and services for the group and spearhead the expansion of value-added products and data and consulting services. Before joining ViPS, she was a partner in Quadragen Inc. and a founding partner of CB Technologies.

Naden/Lean names Benton a principal

Naden/Lean LLC has named Richela Benton a principal in the Timonium-based accounting and business consulting firm. She specializes in audits of nonprofit organizations and compliance audits. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, she is a certified public accountant and is active with several community organizations and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants.

McCrone appoints Ebersole Annapolis office manager

McCrone Inc. has appointed Barry L. Ebersole branch manager of its Annapolis headquarters office. He oversees all engineering and surveying projects in Anne Arundel, Frederick, Baltimore, Howard, Charles and St. Mary's counties.

Active in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Water Works Association, the Centreville resident is an engineering graduate of the University of Delaware.
