Courtney Davidson scored 30 points and made eight three-pointers as Navy defeated Lafayette, 71-53, yesterday at Alumni Hall.

The Midshipmen (9-12, 3-4 Patriot League) took an early 25-5 lead and led 36-27 at halftime.

The Leopards (0-20, 0-7) closed the gap to 36-31 early in the second half before Navy went on a 9-0 run to lead 53-35 with 13:20 left to play.

Adrienne Roseti scored 15 points for Navy, and Abi Campbell had 12. Maile Shimoda added 12 assists.

UNC Wilmington 62, Towson 47: Kacy O'Brien scored a game-high 29 points, but the Tigers (8-10, 0-9) were outrun by the host Seahawks (10-8, 5-4) in the Colonial Athletic Association.

Wesley 89, Villa Julie 71: Cara Hill had 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Mustangs (3-14) in a nonconference loss to the host Wolverines (8-8).

Alicia Barnard had 26 points and eight rebounds for Villa Julie.

Robin Smith led Wesley with 24 points and 14 rebounds.
