Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Robbery/arrest: A man who robbed a customer of $200 at gunpoint inside USA Boutique at Mondawmin Mall about 7:35 p.m. Wednesday was disarmed, subdued and held for police by a relative of the victim and witnesses. Charged with armed robbery was Justin Simms, 21, of the 1600 block of Riggs Ave.

Arson try: Officer Arkel Hubbard was on patrol in the 1700 block of Riggs Ave. about 2 a.m. Wednesday when he noticed smoke coming from the gas intake tube of a parked 1988 Lincoln. After removing a burning rag soaked with fuel, he called the fire department.

Central District

Robbery: Johnny Snow, 38, was walking near his home in the 1100 block of Stoddard Court about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when he stopped the driver of a Ford Focus he thought was operating an unlicensed taxi service. The driver pulled out a handgun and robbed him of $43 and clothing he had purchased.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Two commercial deep fryers, an ice machine and a cooking grill were stolen from Brown's Grocery in the 5400 block of Reisterstown Road between Saturday and Monday.

Burglary: A microwave oven, a 13-inch television, hair clippers and a curling iron were stolen Tuesday from Clark's Beauty Salon in the 5100 block of Liberty Heights Ave.

Southeastern District

Robbery: Police were seeking a gunman who robbed Little Tavern in the 6400 block of Holabird Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Officers assaulted: A 14-year-old girl arrested by Officers Shannon Majka and William Cotton for trespassing at the Essexshire Gate Apartments about 3 p.m. Wednesday allegedly kicked out a window of a patrol car and kicked Majka in the face. At the precinct station, police say, the girl attacked Majka again. Police say she also assaulted Cotton. The girl, from the 1900 block of E. Fayette St., was held on juvenile charges of assaulting police, trespassing, destruction of property and prostitution.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered the Citgo station in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway Wednesday morning and stole cigarettes valued at $2,000.

North Point Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A red 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck with tags 68L 103 was stolen Wednesday in the 200 block of North Point Blvd.

Parkville Precinct

Vandalism/theft: Seven vehicles parked on a fenced storage lot at Jerry's Mitsubishi in the 1900 block of E. Joppa Road were damaged and a console valued at $500 was stolen sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Damage to the vehicles was put at $3,200.
