Bowie suffers second loss

Jonathan Harris scored 30 points as host Elizabeth City State's dealt Bowie State just its second Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association loss, 80-74, last night.

Letheal Cook scored 20 points for Bowie State (16-3, 9-2).

Elizabeth City (9-10, 3-6) made 17 of 22 free throws in the second half.

UMES 85, Morgan State 72: Tee Trotter scored 27 points as the host Hawks (2-13, 2-6) ended a five-game losing streak.

Chris Grant scored 27 to lead the Bears (6-9, 5-3).


Bowie State 62, Elizabeth City State 52: Allyson Hardy scored 21 points to lead the visiting Bulldogs (10-11, 5-6 CIAA). Deanna Price led the Vikings (7-10, 3-6) with 12 points.
