Mount St. Mary's rallies, but falls short, 77-65, vs. Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris' Aaron Thomas scored 22 points, including 17 in the first half, to lead the Colonials to a 77-65 Northeast Conference victory over Mount St. Mary's last night.

The Colonials (8-8, 5-2) went on a 19-6 run in the first half and held the lead with 56 percent shooting in the second.

Mount St. Mary's (4-13, 2-5) trailed by 13 at halftime, but rallied in the second half on the strength of its three-point shooting. The Mountaineers hit 11 three-pointers for the game but could pull to only within three points in the second half.

Landy Thomson and Chris Sumner scored 14 points apiece for Mount St. Mary's.
