Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Central District

Robbery/burglary: Police were seeking a man armed with a knife who forced his way into an apartment in the 1500 block of Bolton St. about 8 p.m. Sunday and robbed the male occupant of a DVD player. Police said the same man broke into another apartment in the same building a short time later and stole a laptop computer.

Northeastern District

Arrest: Tavon Smith, 23, was arrested Friday in the 5600 block of Anthony Ave. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of attempted murder. He is accused in the shooting Sept. 21 of Keith Johnson, 20, in the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road.

Northern District

Shooting/arrest: Renaldo Woodrup, 34, of no fixed address, was arrested Sunday on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the shooting Jan. 18 of Dominic Herbert, 24, of the 400 block of E. 28th St. The victim was shot while standing in the 2500 block of Guilford Ave.

Southeastern District

Armed carjacking: Police were seeking two men who forced a male motorist from his 1995 Toyota Corolla with tags FST 875 at knifepoint in the 100 block of S. Linwood Ave. on Sunday.

Burglary: Three windows and a burglar alarm - all valued at $500 - were stolen Sunday from a house under renovation in the first block of S. Ann St.

Eastern District

Theft/arrest: Officer Brian Henfey was in the 500 block of E. Eager St. on Sunday when he spotted a man suspected of breaking into a 2001 Ford Explorer there and stealing a purse and other property. Arrested and charged with theft was Kevin Harrison, 35, of the 1400 block of E. Oliver St. The property was recovered.

Assault: Police were seeking at least two boys seen throwing rocks at passing vehicles in the 1100 block of Edison Highway on Saturday. The window of one car was shattered, but no injuries were reported.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A man, 23, was walking in the 3300 block of W. Cold Spring Lane on Sunday when another man asked him for directions, then pulled out a handgun and robbed him of $44.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Assault: Two men, one armed with a handgun, were arguing with two males and a female at Liberty Parkway and Dunmanway about 4 p.m. Sunday when the gunman yelled, "I'll kill you." He then fired several shots, none of which hit anyone. A warrant has been issued for the gunman's arrest.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: Checks, jewelry and coins were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 11000 block of Philadelphia Road.
