Anton Jenifer converted 16 of 17 fouls shots and finished with a game-high 31 points to lead Bowie State to a 106-68 men's basketball victory over Columbia Union in Bowie last night.

The Bulldogs (16-2) held a 50-39 advantage at halftime and opened the second half with a 28-10 run to take a 78-49 lead with 12:28 left to play.

The Pioneers (0-18) converted just nine of 31 field-goal tries in the second half and were out-rebounded 55-34.

Letheal Cook had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Bulldogs. Nathaniel Fields added 12.


Bowie State 77, Columbia Union 46: Allyson Hardy scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (9-11) past the visiting Pioneers (2-16) in a nonconference game.

Bowie State took a 41-18 lead into the break and scored 37 points off 28 Columbia Union turnovers.

Rosemont 58, Villa Julie 50: The Mustangs (3-12) rallied to within five points with 1:39 remaining, but could get no closer against the visiting Ramblers (4-7).

Cara Hill scored 11 points for Villa Julie. Dana Kline added 10 and nine rebounds.

Yale 73, Morgan State 62: Javone Davis scored a game-best 17 points, but the visiting Bears (1-15, 1-6) could not get past the Bulldogs (3-11, 0-1) in a nonconference game.

Whitney Johnson added 14 points for Morgan State.

Washington College 74, Haverford 52: Liz Smith scored 15 points and pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds as the Shoremen (4-10, 2-7) rolled past the host Fords (1-12, 0-7) in the Centennial Conference.

Lauren Duckworth added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Washington College.

McDaniel 76, Johns Hopkins 60: Toby McIntire and Kristy Costa scored 16 points apiece as the host Green Terror (13-2, 9-0) beat the Blue Jays (11-2, 7-1) in a Centennial Conference game.

Hofstra 69, Towson 51: Freshman Kelly Robinson had a game-high 20 points as the Tigers (8-7, 0-6) fell to the visiting Pride (8-7, 5-1) in a Colonial Athletic Conference game.

Kacy O'Brien added 12 points for Towson.

Mount St. Mary's 64, Robert Morris 48: Adrienne Harris scored 20 points and Beth Foster had 18 to pace the Mountaineers (5-11, 4-3) in a win over the host Eagles (1-14, 0-6) in the Northeast Conference.

Foster also had eight rebounds. Myriam Baccouche finished with 12 points and nine rebounds for the Mount.
