On Friday, January 16, 2004, JOAN L. ROSE, 79, of Mechanicsburg, PA, formerly of Catonsville, MD; the widow of John G. Rose. Also preceded in death by her parents Forrest Curtis and Beulah (Lacey) Curtis. Survived by a daughter, Janet E. (Rose) Larson, of Sacramento, CA. Two sons, J. Curtis Rose, of Harrisburg, PA and James G. Rose, of Catonsville, MD. A sister, Joan Jones, of The Dallas, OR. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was employed by the State of Maryland, as an Occupational Therapist. A member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Mechanicsburg, PA. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Mechanicsburg Museum and New Hope Ministries. Arrangements are being handled by Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., 2100 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA. Graveside Service will be held at Baltimore National Cemetery, Catonsville, MD at 2 P.M., Friday, January 23, 2004. A Memorial Service will be held at her church at 203 S. Filbert Street, Mechanicsburg, PA, on Saturday, January 24, at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. The Rev. Dr. Jay W. House officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, 1517 Cedar Cliff Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
