Aviation Commission is slated to meet Wednesday at BWI

The Maryland Aviation Commission, which regulates airports around the state, is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the third-floor assembly room at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Airport delays plans to replace escalators

Baltimore-Washington International Airport has postponed plans to replace some of its escalators until the end of this month.

The escalators, which serve Concourse D, are scheduled to be closed for approximately four months once the project is under way. The airport will provide alternate ways to travel between levels, a spokeswoman said.

US Airways plans to offer nonstop flights to Bermuda

Beginning in June, US Airways will offer daily, nonstop flights to Bermuda from Baltimore-Washington International Airport.

Class to be held Jan. 27 for airport volunteers

Those interested in volunteering to help customers at Baltimore-Washington International Airport should attend a class Jan. 27.

The class will train "pathfinders," who must agree to volunteer at the airport four hours a week.

The class is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at BWI.
