Blast tonight

Matchup: Blast (14-5) vs. Monterrey Fury (4-12)

Site: Monterrey (Mexico) Arena

Time: 7:35

Radio: WCBM (680 AM)

Outlook: After last night's 11-6 win in St. Louis, the Blast climbed out of bed this morning and boarded a plane for Mexico, where it will play the Fury tonight. It's "our toughest weekend of the season," according to Blast coach Tim Wittman. Wittman, a veteran of the old and new Major Indoor Soccer League, would do things much differently if he were in charge of scheduling. "If there are going to be back-to-back games, we should be playing the same team on both nights," he said. That would be more equitable, but it is not the way things are done at the moment, so Wittman planned to substitute players in three-man rotations as much as possible in St. Louis in an effort to save some legs and energy for tonight's game. The Fury has not had a lot of success scoring in its first season. One of its worst losses came in Baltimore in early November when it fell, 8-4.
