On January 15, 2004 CHARLES EDWIN ADAMS, departed this life. He was born January 25, 1941 in Bellevue, MD., son of the late Lockwood and Iola Adams and was a resident of Centreville for almost 40 years. Charles was a graduate of Moton High School and Bowie State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision. He worked in the Talbot County Public School System for 33 years, serving as teacher, assistant principal and principal. He was a member of Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, serving as a member of Charles Wesley Men's Chorus and United Methodist Men. Charles was the husband of Janet Adams and father of Avonne Adams and James "Jimmy" Jobes. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 21, 2004 at 1 P.M. at Centreville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Holbrook Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Chesterfield Cemetery (Centreville). There will be a viewing Tuesday evening 6 to 8 P.M., at Centreville U. M. Church and 1 hour prior to the service. The Henry Funeral Home, P.A. (Cambridge, MD) is making the necessary arrangements.
