Mathis, Sara Eisenhauer

On December 21, 2003 SARAEISENHAUER, 52, died suddenly of an acute respiratory infection with complications at her home in Temple, Texas. Sara was born and raised in the Baltimore area, the oldest child of Rosemary R. and the late Louis C. Eisenhauer. Sara spent the last 27 years in Texas and recent years became a spokesperson for the Disabled in that state, appearing on several talk shows and testifying im numerous court cases for increase funding and support. Sara leaves behind five children from her two marriages, including her deeply bereaved husband of 22 years John Mathis. Also grieving are her three siblings: Tara Eisenhauer Eversole, Rachel Louise Eisenhauer and Drew (Louis Andrew) Eisenhauer. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Maryland and New Jersey are also sadden. A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2004, 3 P.M. at the Catonsville Presbyterian Church, Old Frederick Road and Beechwood Avenue. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the National Mental Health Association in honor of Sara's memory.
