On January 12, 2004, MELVIN L. UPTON of Severn, MD, beloved husband of the late Hilda F. Upton; loving father of Allen Upton and Muriel Gyory; dear brother of Calvin, Beverly and Elzie Upton, Bernice Kahler and Dorothy Clark. Also, survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home P.A., 421 Crain Highway, S.E., Glen Burnie on Wednesday and Thursday 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 P.M. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Friendship Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church, Crain Highway and Crain Highway, S.E. Glen Burnie, MD 21061 would be appreciated by the family.
