Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Marijuana seized: Police were seeking the person responsible for several large marijuana plants found in a vacant house in the 200 block of Woodyear St. about 5:30 p.m. Monday by city Fire Department medics upon entering the wrong house on a call. Police seized the plants, along with a generator and heat lamps.

Arrest: Three police officers were slightly injured Sunday evening during a struggle while attempting to arrest a man on charges of heroin possession outside his home in the 1100 block of Leadenhall St. Police seized 13 gel caps of heroin and arrested Alphonso Davis, 43, on charges of possession with intent to distribute the drug and three counts of assaulting police.

Theft: The tailgate of a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck was stolen Monday while the vehicle was parked in the 1300 block of Church St.

Western District

Robbery/shooting: Police were seeking two men who shot a 36-year-old woman in the legs early Sunday in the 2700 block of Franklintown Road. Darbey B. Terry had taken the wrong bus and was seeking another about 5:30 a.m. when two men robbed her of her purse and jacket. During a struggle, one of the men shot her. She was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Shooting: Maurice Artist, 23, was walking in the first block of N. Bentalou St. about 4 a.m. Sunday when he heard several gunshots and felt pain in his left leg. Artist was treated at Bon Secours Hospital for a bullet wound to the foot.

Robbery: A gunman robbed New York Deli & Grocery in the 1300 block of W. Baltimore St. of two cartons of cigarettes and at least $100 Sunday evening.

Eastern District

Burglary: A Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. meter was stolen Monday from the basement of a house in the 300 block of E. 24th St.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery try: A woman, 30, was standing in the lobby of an apartment building in the 8200 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 4:40 p.m. Monday when a male tried to steal her purse. During a struggle, the woman shouted for help and kicked the door of an apartment to get attention. The assailant rode off on a purple mountain bicycle.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A boy, 15, was walking along Second Avenue near Harford Road about 8:15 p.m. Monday when three males, one of whom implied having a handgun, robbed him of $12.50.

Wilkens Precinct

Burglary: Two bicycles were stolen Monday from the rear yard of a house in the 2000 block of Hollins Ferry Road. They were valued at $2,000.
