ANGELS: Agreed with OF Vladimir Guerrero, who had been with Expos, on five-year, $70 million contract.

ASTROS: Agreed with P Roger Clemens on one-year, $5 million contract.

ATHLETICS: Agreed with P Britt Reames on minor league contract.

DEVIL RAYS: Agreed with P Mike Holtz, P Todd Jones, C Mitch Meluskey, P Al Reyes, P Carlos Reyes, 3B Jared Sandberg and 3B Fernando Tatis on minor league contracts.

DIAMONDBACKS: Named Fred Seymour assistant director of baseball operations.

INDIANS: Agreed with P David Riske on one-year, $1.025 million contract.

PHILLIES: Agreed with OF Doug Glanville, who had been with Cubs, on one-year, $550,000 contract.

RANGERS: Agreed with P Kenny Rogers, who had been with Twins, on two-year, $6 million contract and P Jeff Nelson (Catonsville High), who had been with Yankees, on one-year, $1.5 million contract.

RED SOX: President and CEO Larry Luchino signed a four-year contract extension to remain with team through 2011.

REDS: Agreed with IF-OF John Vander Wal, who had been with Brewers, on one-year, $700,000 contract.

ROCKIES: Agreed with P Jeff Fassero, P Vladimir Nunez and P Hector Ortiz on minor league contracts.

WHITE SOX: Agreed with P Scott Schoeneweis on one-year, $1.725 million contract.

NEBRASKA: Fired offensive coordinator Barney Cotton, defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, defensive backs coach Marvin Sanders, linebackers coach Jimmy Williams, running backs coach Tim Albin, wide receivers coach Ron Brown and defensive line coach Jeff Jamrog.

NEVADA LAS VEGAS: Named Brad Otton quarterbacks coach and Kris Cinkovich receivers coach.
