Mosser, Dr. Robert S.

On January 11, 2004, DR. ROBERT S. MOSSER, passed away at Gilchrist of cancer. He served in the 103rd Infantry Division during WWII, he graduated from Allegheny High School in Cumberland, The University of Maryland-College Park and the University of Maryland Medical School. Dr. Mosser took his pediatric and neurology training at the University of Maryland Hospital and the University of Rochester. After finishing Medical School he served as a Captain in the USArmy Airforce stationed in Madison, Wisconsin. He was an Assistant Professor of pediatric neurology at the University of Maryland Medical School and consultant at Rosewood State Hospital. An avid golfer, Dr. Mosser also played the classical guitar, for many years he sang in the choir at the Immaculate Conception Church. Dr. Mosser was married for 57 years to the former Ellen Notz who survived him. He is also survived by his brother John Mosser of Sparks MD, a son Dr. Jeffrey F. Mosser of York PA and three daughters, Mrs. Katherine Danielson of Lutherville, Mrs. Patricia Noto of Ellicott City and Mrs. Jan Heath of Catonsville, as well as nine grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be offered at the Immaculate Conception Church, Ware Ave, Towson MD on January 17, 2004, at 10 A.M. In lieu of flowers, those who desire, can make donations, in Dr. Mosser's name, to Loyola High School, 500 Chestnut Ave, Towson MD 21204 or the Immaculate Conception Church or to the Hospice of Baltimore, 6601 N. Charles St, Towson, MD 21204.
