Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Victims named: Police identified yesterday Xue Chen, 41, and Hong Guo, 39, as the man and woman found dead Wednesday in their burned-out sign company in the 6300 block of Eastern Ave. Their deaths have been ruled homicides.

Central District

Arrest: Kenneth Hamilton, 16, of the 2000 block of Park Ave. was arrested Friday and charged for a second time with the attempted murder of Officer Christian Schaeffer during a scuffle Dec. 18 in the 200 block of W. Lafayette Ave. The officer was cut in the eye with a knife before he shot Hamilton in the chest and arm. Released from a hospital, Hamilton was charged earlier -- but the charges were mistakenly dropped. Schaeffer has since returned to duty.

Southern District

Officers assaulted/arrest: Alphonso Davis, 43, was charged Sunday night with assaulting three police officers attempting to arrest him on drug possession charges near his home in the 1100 block of Leadenhall St. The officers were not seriously injured. Police seized 13 gel caps of heroin.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Theft/arrest: Ronnie Gray, 59, of the 1700 block of St. Paul St. in Baltimore was arrested Sunday and charged with stealing two leather coats from Hecht Co. at Towson Town Center.

Stolen vehicle: A white Chevrolet van with tags M135924, owned by Mount Calvary AME Church in the 300 block of Eudowood Lane, was parked near the church Sunday with its engine running when someone stole it.
