Passano, Louis Baldwin

On Thursday, November 27, 2003, LOUIS BALDWIN PASSANO, age 94, formerly of Snow Hill, died at his home in Easton. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Louis Passano and Etha Barr Passano. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia Evans Passano in 1998. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Lucia Powell of Cheshire, CT, Paige Passano Eddy of St. Thomas, Virginia Islands, George Passano of Oxford, MD, Lindsay C. (Mike) Passano of St. Michaels, MD, James B. Passano of Kingston, RI and Louis Passano of Baltimore. Mr. Passano attended Boy's Latin School in Baltimore and graduated from the Greenbriar Military Academy. He was an alumnus of Johns Hopkins University class of 1932. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He began his career in banking with Mercantile-Safe Deposit and Trust Co. of Baltimore. After 13 years there, he moved to Philadelphia in 1956 to join the First Pennsylvania Banking Co. where he worked for 18 years. He retired as Senior Vice President in the trust department. He was a member of the Society of Colonial Wars, the Sunnybrook Golf Club in Chestnut Hill, PA, the Nassawango Golf Club in Snow Hill and a member of All Hallows Episcopal Church in Snow Hill. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 11 A.M. at All Hallows Episcopal Church on Market and Church Streets in Snow Hill. The Rev. Kenneth Thom will officiate. Interment will be in All Hallows Episcopal Church yard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Hallows Episcopal Church, 109 W. Market Street, Snow Hill, MD 21863. Arrangements are being handled by the Burbage Funeral Home in Snow Hill.
