Health Department notes Cancer Awareness Month

The Harford County Health Department's Office of Cancer Prevention Services last week reminded women that it is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

The department provides county residents with a breast and cervical cancer program. Information: 443-643-0350.

Harford County recognized for budget presentation

Harford County has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its fiscal year 2004 budget from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

The organization is a nonprofit professional association serving 14,000 government finance professionals throughout North America.

When the award is granted, a certificate of recognition for budget presentation also is presented. For the 16th consecutive year, the recipient of this certificate is the Harford County Department of Administration's Office of Budget and Management Research.
