Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Eastern District

Victim named: Tyrone Creighton, 29, of the 1100 block of N. Woodington Road was identified yesterday by city police as the man fatally shot Tuesday night in the 1500 block of Cliftview Ave. No arrest was made.

Theft: Someone entered the room of a patient at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Tuesday and stole $450 in cash and property, including a portable telephone.

Theft from vehicle: Several compact discs and a stereo radio -- all valued at $400 -- were stolen Tuesday from a 1994 Saturn parked in the 1200 block of Ashland Ave.

Northern District

Shootings: Two men were shot about 7:45 p.m. yesterday while standing in the 2600 block of Greenmount Ave. One man was shot in the head and was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The other man was shot in the back and was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Theft from vehicle: A New York Giants football jersey and a leather coat were stolen Tuesday from a 1998 Honda Civic in the 2900 block of N. Charles St. They were valued at $370.

Southern District

Arrest: Marcus Nickens, 27, of the 2400 block of Puget St. was arrested Tuesday on South Dallas Court on warrants charging him with attempted murder in the shooting of two men, Johnny Small, 25, and Aaron Turner, 20, on Dec. 19 in the 4100 block of 10th St. in Brooklyn.

Baltimore County

Franklin Precinct

Bank robbery/arrests: Two Baltimore men were arrested late Tuesday morning and were charged with the armed robbery a short time earlier of Provident Bank in the 3600 block of Old Court Road in Pikesville. About 10:45 p.m., two men, one with a double-barreled Derringer pistol, jumped over the counter and removed an undisclosed sum of money from at least one teller's station. Their getaway van was followed by a bank employee who used his cellular phone to inform police of the vehicle's path of escape. At Liberty and Old Court roads, police stopped the van, arrested its two occupants and recovered money and the handgun. Charged were Howard McQueen, 38, of the 4000 block of Fairfax Road and Ramon Valentine, 36, of the 3900 block of Fairfax Road.

Burglary/arrests: Two 13-year-old boys were arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with breaking into an apartment above the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the 4600 block of Old Court Road moments earlier. The boys were fleeing when police arrived. No property was reported missing.
